Ok, I've been a bit AWOL for a while, and here is why. For those of you who know me, you might recognize this piece as something I've been working on for a while now. I finally finished tonight! YaaaaaY!
It will eventually be framed, but I"m letting the recipient choose the frame and all. So it will be several weeks before the framed version is displayed. For now certain places may look a bit odd. *^_^*
Almost forgot to add that this is, in fact, a kit piece. It is a counted cross-stitch kit, but I've spent so many hours on it that I just had to share...
Update: It's been framed now. According to the framers, the top and bottom were a mere 1/8 of an inch off of alignment. This is very easily explained by the fact that there are many more stitches near the bottom of the piece at the top. Seeing as how much doing this piece has improved my skills, I can hardly believe that that's all that it's off. *^_^* An artist friend of the recipient said I should enter it into a state fare or something. Now, I don't know about that; I can spot several flaws in it now that it's framed, but I am pleased with how it turned out.
beautiful work...my grandmother used to make those all the time...of course she did hers from patterns already on the mats and such...I know that stuff takes a LOT of patience and concentration either way...I couldn't even think about doing it without getting a migraine...anywho...like I said...Really beautiful work.

Courage is not the lack of fear in the face of adversity, it is facing adversity even when you are afraid.
*^_^* I can't work with the picture on the fabric....that takes half the fun out of it for me....namely being able to watch the picture develop out of nothing...
thanks for the fav ^_^

If the human body is obscene, complain to the manufacturer, not me!
Wow, I can only imagine how long that would have taken. You really must have put all of your patience to use on this piece. I hope the recipient appreciates all of the work you put into this
I have to say that this is one of those pieces that looks better a few feet away than when it's right up in your face, but it does look good. ^..^ I'm glad you've finished it and can move on to other projects now.

Nearly all of us, if not every single one of us, have come across a deviation that just has a disappointing '...'. Conversely, some of us have even come across a massive wall of text.
Whether we are the people who ask ourselves, "Is that it?", or whether we are the people who ask ourselves, "What can I say?", this guide will hopefully provide you with some insight in how to go about writing a good description for your deviations, a.k.a. your Artist's (or Author's) Comments.
If you're looking for a deviant to brighten up your day, look no further than `JurgenDoe. Jurgen's infectious enthusiasm and passion for deviantART is evident in all areas.
